918SDANH: 18 cell 9cm. pot equivalent Hybrid AirTray®

  • Unique ‘hybrid’ design cell so can be loose filled or used with 50mm diameter x 93.5mm deep Ellepot.
  • Also available in ‘no leg’ and ‘interlocking’ variants (see images).
  • Cell design produces a much better root system: more young, vigorous roots and no defective roots.

  • Vent in tray to reduce humidity in the canopy, as well as under the tray to help air pruning.

This 18 count Danish sized tray has been developed as an alternative to the very commonly used 9cm. pot and 18 count carry tray which has been an industry staple for many years and is a single use plastic product which is rarely recycled.  This new tray is part of a move by Proptek to remove plastic in the retail chain and is used in combination with our plastic free retail sleeve and trays

Our 18 count tray is injection moulded for a very long life and is a hybrid tray meaning it can be loose filled or contain a stabilised media such as an Ellepot. It has a leg/no leg option and the leg allows for air flow under the tray and through the cells when placed on the ground, it is basically built in benching.

The cell design has ribs and holes in the wall to give great aeration and drainage plus active air pruning of roots that results in a plant that has a large number young vigorous roots ready to explode into growth when transplanted.

When plants are grown in this tray they can be potted up internally in the nursery or transferred to our plastic free retail offering which we believe is a game changer

There are three options of this tray:-

  • 918SDANHL – This version features the legs that act as benching
  • 918SDANHI – This version features a short interlock to stop tray without legs sliding about
  • 918SDANH – This version features a flat tray base with no leg or interlock.

1 Full truck loads can fit more trays per pallet as a dedicated full size 53ft lorry is used for delivery. For partial truck loads, we cannot guarantee the height of the lorry, so pallets must fit into all commercial freight vehicles. If arranging your own transport, please advise us at the earliest opportunity on the internal height of your vehicle.

2 Trays are stacked loose or partly loose to get the maximum number of trays per container. This will result in lower unit shipping cost but also more labor to unload
