Details & Features

This is a very versatile tray that suits a wide variety of crops in many different propagation sectors.

With a precise cell design of 90 cc, plants are strong and healthy and pull easily time and time again.

The injection molded construction also lends itself to other features, such as root training ribs and a larger cell drainage hole. This means roots are better quality, circle less and can’t embed themselves into the cell wall – which all means a much easier plant to pull. So easy in fact, that you can often improve propagation times and transplant sooner than when using other containers.

The heavy duty design remains lightweight, but has a long extended working life – usually 10+ years with multiple cycles per year.

Trays can be steam sterilized with no negative effects on life of tray or plant pulling.

Please Note…

1 Full truck loads can fit more trays per pallet as a dedicated full size 53ft lorry is used for delivery. For partial truck loads, we cannot guarantee the height of the lorry, so pallets must fit into all commercial freight vehicles. If arranging your own transport, please advise us at the earliest opportunity on the internal height of your vehicle.

2 Trays are stacked loose or partly loose to get the maximum number of trays per container. This will result in lower unit shipping cost but also more labor to unload

All statistics and measurements may vary so please check before purchasing, if critical, or ask for sample.

Jeff Pereira | King City Nursery, CA, United States

Proptek’s 234 Vegetable tray produces exceptional results – they are so durable and have served us very well for many years now. Our pepper plants grow quick and strong with excellent roots and pull from the cells real easy too. All in all – it’s a great tray that makes our lives here at King City Nursery smooth and efficient.

Zoë Bradbury | Valley Flora Farm, OR, United States

Our 6-acre vegetable farm is committed to generating as much production with as little waste as possible. We have never been satisfied with the flimsy plastic propagation trays that dominate the nursery industry, because of the garbage they create, the difficulty of moving trays in the greenhouse, the challenge of removing plugs, and the overall lower quality starts they produce.

We were thrilled to discover Proptek trays last year and now use the 144s for nearly all of our vegetable start production. The smooth, tapered plug design makes transplanting fast and easy, and the quality of our plants has been excellent.

Best of all, they are extremely durable. I fully expect we’ll still be using the same trays in a decade, and beyond. The folks at Proptek worked with us to fulfill a group order for a handful of organic farmers in the Pacific Northwest and every single farm has been impressed by these trays so far. Thank you Proptek for designing a quality product that meets our farm’s production needs and will stand the test of time.

In my opinion, Proptek’s 162 injection molded tray is the best reusable watermelon transplant tray on the market.
